Sandra is driven by a powerful belief: everyone has the ability to grow, learn, and transform. She sees beyond who people are today and focuses on who they can become. Outside of work, Sandra is all about whānau, food, and fun. She loves playing and coaching basketball, cooking up a feast, watching K-dramas and Filipino shows, or kicking back with the family over cards and rugby. She's the perfect mix of fierce, fun, and full of heart.

Matilda’s first love is teaching, and it shows in everything she does. With a wealth of experience working with both young people and adults, she brings warmth, passion, and purpose into every learning space.

She’s fluent in Samoan, Hindi, and English—thanks to her time living and teaching in India—and thrives on connecting with people from all walks of life. Matilda is deeply passionate about community engagement, and she has a gift for bringing people together, building networks, and creating spaces where everyone feels seen and supported.

Outside of work, Matilda treasures time with her husband and son, who are the heart of her world. She’s a connector, a communicator, and a true educator at heart.

Kawarau's drive comes from wanting to help people as much as she can so they walk away with the best possible outcome for themselves. Seeing the effort and passion her colleagues bring pushes her to bring the same.

What makes Kawarau special is that she gives 100% so everyone around her, colleagues and community alike, has what they need to succeed. She's highly organised and stays on top of the details, because she knows a smooth experience behind the scenes is what lets participants get the full benefit of the programme. She's also the first to put her hand up, whether that's backing a colleague or going the extra mile for a student.

Outside of work, Kawarau is watching sport, mostly rugby and tennis, or getting in a swim. She's competitive by nature, so board games and card games are her kind of night.

Jacob's passion lies in the classroom. He'll tell you that every other job he's had, he felt every second of. Teaching is different. He starts, gets in the zone, and three hours disappear. The way he describes it, facilitating is a mental game of rugby: reading the room, spotting the gap, and going for the try.

What makes Jacob special is how much he tailors the experience to the people in front of him. He listens first, leaves the jargon at the door, and weaves learners' own stories and experiences into the lesson so they feel genuinely part of it. Expect plenty of discussion and games along the way, because he believes learning should be used, not just heard.

Outside of work, Jacob is in the kitchen cooking, putting in work at the gym, or deep into an anime series. He's also getting back into reading, which he finds really settles the mind.​​

Sione’s passion lies in helping others see the greatness within themselves. He’s all about supporting people to unlock their potential and realise what they’re truly capable of.

Outside of work, Sione’s happy place is with his wife and son, making memories and soaking up quality time with his whānau.

Evaloni thrives on connection—she genuinely enjoys working with people from all walks of life and brings a calm, grounded presence to every room.

She’s not afraid of a challenge and believes in doing hard things to grow stronger, smarter, and better. That mindset shapes the way she supports others—always encouraging progress, not perfection.

Line's passion lies in opening doors. Across more than 15 years in education, employment and community, the work has always come back to the same thing: connecting Pacific and diverse communities to education, work and opportunity in a way that honours who they are.

Having led Pacific Work Connect nationwide at the Tertiary Education Commission, Line puts respect, reciprocity, relationships and collective success at the heart of every conversation. Through talanoa based coaching and mentoring, people are supported to link their identity, aspirations and skills to work that lasts.

Florianne is the quiet force behind the scenes who keeps our team running smoothly. Her passion lies in bringing structure and clarity to the day-to-day, helping everyone stay focused and on track.

What sets her apart? She’s all about making life easier for the team—adjusting her approach, building strong relationships, and always looking for ways to work smarter.

Outside of work, Florianne finds balance through running and being involved in ministry. She brings calm, care, and consistency to everything she does—and we wouldn’t be the same without her.

Allen is all about making a difference behind the scenes. She’s driven by the impact education has on people’s lives and loves being part of something that uplifts others.

From supporting our CEO and COO to helping facilitators and managing content, emails, and admin, Allen brings calm, care, and reliability to every task. She’s the one who keeps things running smoothly—without needing the spotlight.

Outside of work, Allen enjoys life’s simple joys: time with her husband, cuddles with her corgi Hakdog, anime, baking, and visits home to Singapore.
